  9.      We won! Not too long ago there were three main 
  10. religions in America. Now there is only one. There used to 
  11. be Islam, Judaism and Christianity. Now only Christianity 
  12. is left. There is no more of the other two.

  15.      Incredulous? Does the writer not have both his oars 
  16. in the water? Why make such an obviously erroneous 
  17. statement?

  20.      The University of Virgina has some 118 student 
  21. organizations on campus which receive university subsidies 
  22. to assist them in producing  newspapers and taking care 
  23. of other operating expenses. These funds come from a 
  24. $14.00 charge assessed to each student enrolled. The money 
  25. is then dispensed to all sorts of groups, including 
  26. homosexual and feminist student organizations as 
  27. well as Jewish and Muslim groups. But when a student 
  28. organization wanted to produce a newspaper espousing the 
  29. Christian point of view, they were denied use of these 
  30. same funds on the basis that they were "religious" in 
  31. nature. (see Christianity Today, 1-9-95, pp. 48,49).

  33.      Hey! But what about the Jewish and Muslim 
  34. organizations? Oh, well you see, those aren't "religious" 
  35. in nature. They are "cultural." So now we only have one 
  36. "religion" (Christianity) and two "cultures" (Judaism and 
  37. Islam). The "Christian" perspective is denied money 
  38. because it is religious, but the Jewish and Muslim 
  39. perspectives receive money because they are "cultural."
